[Annotation label by George Neville Jones states the specimen is an isotype for Saxifraga allenii Small, published in 1905 in North American Flora 22: 144. This annotation label is incorrect. In the 1905 publication, Small listed the taxon as Micranthes allenii, not Saxifraga allenii. Fedde transferred the taxon from Micranthes to Saxifraga in Just's Bot.
