In dense thickets of Spiraea douglasii, Rubus armeniacus, Pyrus communis, winter-wet prairie remnant. Adventive 5 meter tree, bushy branching, leaves lobed and turning orange; calyx shed, fruit depressed globose, yellow-orange-brown, shiny, fruit 6-7 x 7-10 millileters with; red-brown pedicels 17-20 millimeters; rare adventive.¶Reference specimen for illustration in Revision of Flora of the Pacific Northwest, WTU Herbarium, 2015.
