Oregon: Josephine County: Crater Forest, Thompson Creek roadhead of Steamboat. [elevation indicates Jos. Co. although Steamboat is in Jackson] Elev. 2500 ft.
gentle NE slope, med. dry clay loam soil, Type: Edge Yellow Pine, oak and dry meadow; moderate shade. Assoc. 1742 to 1751 Frequent here in type, not observed grazed, probably unpalatable; observed at Matney Gulch at lower elevation, also Johnson Prairie east of Medford. Original label, 53603 Phenology: flowering.
