Roadside, in heavy olay soil, where dry, rather than in the moister ditch nearby. Plants with shallow, fleshy, nearly globose tubers, sepals nearly clear white, (slightly ochroleucous), widely flared, greenish-tipped and slightly cucullate with no trace at all of yellow on inner surface but somewhat greenish-yellow and slightly bluish-tinged on back, lower petals white, the petals moderately deep bluish-lavender, flowers yellowed considerably in drying. Phenology: Flowers.
