Gentle SW slope. Dry red clay adobe. 1-Wd type 5/10 density. Assoc. Asclepias speciosa, Hordeum sp? Vinegar Weed and Spec. 1047. Full sunlight. Tri-awn. closely grazed, area injured by premature grazing. Not elsewhere observed in locality, abundant. Apparently unpalatable. In fruit date collected. Perhaps A. bromoides. Has a distinctly purple appearance from a distance, probably an introduced species and evidently a plant indicator. 34,911 in upper right of label. Phenology: fruits.
