Washington: Stevens County: Colville National Forest - KFRD [Kettle Falls Ranger District]. About 57 miles NE of Kettle Falls. Proceed W crossing Lk. Roosevelt on Highway 395, then North for 23 miles past Orient, WA. Turn right on the Sand Cr. Rd. (Co. Rd. 4013) heading E. for 5 miles. Continue E. on FS rd. 15 for another 19 miles to the Flagstaff Lookout Rd (FS rd. 960). Turn right continuing uphill on the 960 rd. for about 5 mi. to FS rd. 300 which cont[inues] up to the lookout. From that junction go downhill on FS rd. 950 for 1/2 mi. towards Pepoon Lk. The plants are found along the rocky road shoulder. Elev. 3500-3600 ft.

Many plants growing with Pseudotsuga menziesii, Fragaria virginiana, Fragaria vesca, Physocarpos malvaceus, Holodiscus discolor, Lupine sericeus, Hypericum perforatum, Centaurea spp., Achillea millefolium, Verbascum thapsus, other Castilleja spp., and various graminoids. Phenology: Flowers.
