Level inter-dunal depression with basalt outcrop. In sand-filled cracks and in shallow sand (to 30cm) over basalt. In primary community, trailing advancing dunes with Psoralea lanceolata, Elymus flavescens, Oryzopsis hymenoides. Flowers white, aging pink. Old plants with highly branched stems. Numerous old capsules common on older stem portions. Locally common but found only within the dune systems. Phenology: Flowers.
