Shallow bay formed in an old, flooded river oxbow with clear water; soft bottom; shorelines with emergent Phalaris arundinacea and Scirpus cyperinus. Petals white; stamens and stigmatic disk yellow; flowers showy, open flowers ca 8-10 cm wide; leaves and flowers floating at water surface on pedicels and peduncles ca 1.5 meters long; single patch of plants forming mat ca 3 meters diameter in water near highway.
