serpentine soil, assoc. Silene hookeri, Iris chrysophylla, Ceanothus cuneatus Hairs above gland purple, petals white to cream; note: capsule strongly nodding-material from Waldo Ridge has an erect capsule. According to Dr. Chambers, this plant is from a disjunct population of Calochortus howellii Wats., in Douglas Co. "Rare, Threatened & Endangered Plants of Oregon" Chambers et. al.
