On slightly sloping, loamy,mesic, west-facing meadow dominated by Artemisia tridentata ssp. vaseyana. Lower leaf blades have auricles; flowers prophyllate, tepals ~ 4.5 mm long with brown stripe, capsule rounded not acute. Flowers young.
