Eutrophic ponds with shoreline of main pond dominated by Iris pseudacorus, Typha latifolia, Leersia oryzoides and Juncus effusus; beaver ponds less disturbed with Bidens cernua common along shoreline with Equisetum telmateia. Locally common in moist upland on edge of main pond; fibrous-rooted. Phenology: Fruits.
