In sandy silt with a lot of vegetation debris with Carex williamsii, Empetrum nigrum, Vaccinium uliginosum, Betula glandulosa, Draba juvenilis, Silene involucrata, Andromeda polifolia, and Calamagrostis inexpansa. Only place seen. Specimen at CAN589209 revised to M. stricta. Specimen analyzed through the barcode of life (BOLD). Revised to M. stricta by B.A. Bennettas seeds dark brown, 1-2 flowered. Rare. .
