Bromus tectorum, Amsinckia, Eriogonum, Sisymbrium, Secale cereale U.S. Army Corps Columbia River Plant Survey; Adventive plants 1-2 m wide; pads avocado green unless stressed, then blue-green; major spines 30-40 mm, dark red and gray, spreading to reflexed, petals 30-40 mm, bright to dull yellow, all dull orange at base, anthers and filaments yellow, stigma green, style pale yellow; about 40 plants naturalized.
