Marshy edge and open water (2-12 inches deep) along shoreline, patchy, over basalt, with driftwood debris and Typha angustifolia, Paspalum distichum, Phalaris arundinacea, Carex vesicaria, Phragmites australis, P. epihydrus, Spirodela polyrhiza. Rhizomes bright white, leaves deep forest green, sharply triangular, slightly concave, flowers pink, some capsules forming; 35 flowering plants and numerous vegetative plants.
