Gravelly, unstable slope; with many individuals of var. didymocarpa. With Artemisia tridentata, Elytrigia spicata. Plants all in fruit; sts prostrate; silicles very strongly inflated, pale greenish-yellow to brownish; basal leaves lyrate. This is the TYPE LOCALITY for var. lyrata C.L. Hitchc., and is rapidly being removed by gravel trucks (at the time collection made). This taxon currently under review at Federal level for E or T status. Phenology: Fruits.
