Disturbed old roadbed with Elymus trachycaulus, Achillea millefolium, Medicago sativa, Bromus inermis, and Fragaria virginiana. Extremely robust plants. Malipighiaceous hairs, petals yellow 8 mm, sepals 3.5-4.5 mm, seeds 1.2 mm, siliques 2 mm wide ~5.5. cm long, 80 cm tall. I. Al-Shehbaz notes Dec. 2014 In petal size and shape, these collections are more at home in E. inconspicuum species than in E. coarctatum Fernald. However, in 13-0575, the fruits slightly approach the latter species.
