Inside Gooding Cow Camp holding corrals, grass-herb meadows of sagebrush-forest montane valley bottom and toeslopes. Full sun. Tens of plants along edges of corral fence lines, with Stipa, Polygonum, Potentilla, Aster, Navarretia. Heavy livestock use and much bare ground. Past obs. by collector inside corrals when rested cite many-flowrd.plants w/ leaves to 4.5 cm wide and 76 cm tall.¶Slope: 0-10%.¶Aspect: N-NE.¶Ownership:Federal-USFS.¶Soil: compacted, texture-SL;pH-5.8;EC-0.5;lime-low;OM-10%;N03N/P/K/ppm-5/7/558. Rays bright yellow, conspicuous, 18-30/head, 15mm long X 2.5 mm wide to 12 mm long X 3.1mm wide; heads 1-8/stem, paniculate; stems strongly decurved at base to nearly erect, plants 20-35cm tall; achenes hairy. This coll. E is "plants from inside corrals", compare label data w/ colls. A,B,C,D from outside corrals. Phenology: Flowers.
