Dry rocky soil and pockets of alpine turf among blocky basalt rock formations. Ray flowers white; stems in small clumps, in rocky soil around bases of boulders and outcrops; scattered. Leaf tissue was collected from this specimen for DNA extraction, by Joseph Kleinkopf of the UNM Herbarium, for a study on species relationships in Erigeron (Asteraceae: Astereae). July 2, 2024.
