In talus at the edge of the lithosol forming on the entablature flow. Growing in stable talus with NW exposure on about 25% slope, with Poa secunda (sandbergii), Heuchera cylindrica, Penstemon garidneri, Lomatium leptocarpum, L. nudicuale, Artemisia rigida, Penstemon deustus, Sisryhinchium idahoensis, and Pseudoroegneria spicata.
