Somewhat disturbed, though infrequently-used road margins and adjacent sagebrush scrub on hillsides near edge of Douglas-fir forest on E-facing slope.Rare perennial herbs from narrow taproots, growing in open places near steep 4X4 track ascending to ridgetop though margin of Pseudotsuga menzisii forest. Plants glabrous, foliage green, almost silvery-green above and darker below, stems and petioles purple-tinged. Flowers bright yellow. Phenology: Flowers & Fruits.
