Rocky, hot cliffs adjacent to road in canyon bottom near river channel. Rock apparently volcanic origin. Locally abundant perennial herbs from thickened taproots in crevices in rocks. Plants glabrous-glandular, with a strong unpleasant odor of petroleum-based products when crushed. Flowers yellow-green, immature fruits green. Silica gel-dried material is available upon request.
