Plot is in a ~15 year old clearcut with mostly young Pseudotsuga menziesii making up the stand. The ground vegetation is diverse with lots of Acer circinatum and other shrubs plus numerous rock outcrops. Lichen actually diverse for a young stand, probably due to the adjacent old growth Tsuga heterophylla/Pseudotsuga menziesii forest. Athough lichen community is diverse the biomass is low, many small thalli. Slope 25%. Aspect 330°. Abundance code: 2; Cigar branch. Enlarged soralia. U. glabrata would be K-. Spot Tests: K+Y, P+R. Phenology: soralia.
