This plot is on top of an old forested dune. Picea sitchensis is the dominant overstory tree and heavy Polistichum munitum cover makes up most of the ground veg. Gaultharia shallon occurs in some large canopy gaps. The lichens are not very diverse and the stand is pretty damp. Parmotrema sp. is very abundant. Also Cavernularia thalli are relatively large and very abundant. Abundance code: 1; No papillae. Abundant annular cracks. Spot Tests: K-, P+R.
