The overstory is PIAL and LALY. Many trees are recently dead; snags are PIEN and are the largest boles. They still have fine branches and are good lichen substrate. PIEN are common as saplings.VASC and heather cover the ground. There are 2 prominent granite outcroppings w some lichen cover. Head to this plot early and avoid bare rocky talus sites by following convex slope N of intermittant stream, then side-slope S to plot. Slope 87%. Aspect 332°. Abundance code: 0. Substrate: granite.
