Coniferous forest/hardwood with big leaf maple, Trillium, sword-fern, Douglas fir, vine maple, and red huckleberry. Substrate: bark of big leaf maple. Apothecia 1 millimeter, stalk reddish brown, spores round, clear 3 to 4, algae trentepohlia and some trebouxioid algae. Substrate: corticolous. Phenology: apothecia.
