Oregon: Wasco County: Mt. Hood National Forest, Columbia River Gorge Area: Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, USFS land just S (~ 200') of Hwy 30. There is a fence. Just across from driveway to old barn, head uphill to opening. Elev. 672 ft.

Plot consists of basically two habitats. The downslope half grades from QUGA/TODI into a fairly diverse shrub mix. There are only 2-3 conifers and they are mature. Toxicodendron is dominant but we also see abundant Symphoricarpos albus, Holodiscus discolor, Corylus cornuta, Crataegus, and Mahonia aquifolium. The upslope are has weeds, grasses and bachelor's buttons. Marah is common. The top is very open and flat with scattered small oaks and grasses. ACMA also found down by the road. There is a draw sidehill R with lots of Marah with the oak. Slope 42%. Aspect 326°. Abundance code: 4.6; labriform soralia; very narrow lobes; Dominant lichens PARBAR, EVEPRU on branches. Candelaria concolor and Xanthoria polycarpa are quite common. Cyanolichens are found on lower boles of oaks, and Physconia covers much of the boles also. Substrate: QUGA4 br. Phenology: soralia.
