Planted Robinia on upper edge of plot, CERE2 forms shady grove along the riverbank. Site is in a hot, exposed environment on the Pittsburg Ck alluvial fan. Line of trees closest to the R. are nearly devoid of epiphytes. Aside from this, Xanthoria cover was high even on Robinia. Heavy past disturbance, recovering. Site is part of an historical ranch. Area above was farmed. Undifferentiated materials from alluvium, landslides and terrace deposits. Slope 30%. Aspect 55°. Abundance code: 4-5; Xanthoria cover very high, very obviously the dominant epiphyte. Also very common Phaob and Phyads, though from eye perspective their dull color blends in with bark. Spot Tests: med K+Y KC+O. Phenology: soredia.
