Oregon: Wallowa County: Wallowa-Whitman National Forest: Hells Canyon National Recreation Area: Hells Canyon Wilderness: Wisenor is the campsite at the jx of the 1778 and 1751 trails. From where trail crosses Temperance Ck continue across creek, then walk upstream to forest ~ 400 ft. Elev. 3040 ft.

PIPO-dominated overstory w some PSME; Symphoricarpos albus is most common shrub; ABGR got big but is now dead. There was a fairly recent fire. The creek is at the plot edge. There are several small piles of small boulders. Down trees and branches are common. Slope 21%. Aspect 50°. Abundance code: 2; This area was the only lichen-rich area around. Likely moisture from creek has contributed to lichen richness. Lichens more often found on hardwoods were often seen on PSME. If it weren't for the PSME, lichen diversity would be far lower. Strangely devoid. Spot Tests: Cortex and medulla K+Y.
