OG PSME stand w hardwood understory, bordered by clearing on uphill side w young (20 yro) 2nd growth PSME (on plot) and riparian zone off plot on downhill side. Slope 30%. Aspect 80°. Veg. cover: Arbutus menziesii, ABGR, Holodiscus discolor, Rubus parviflorus, Symphoricarpus albus, Rubus ursinus, Rosa gymnocarpa, Pteridium aqualinum, Claytonia sibrica, Viola glabella. Arbutus menziesii, ABGR, Holodiscus discolor, Rubus parviflorus, Symphoricarpus albus, Rubus ursinus, Rosa gymnocarpa, Pteridium aqualinum, Claytonia sibrica, Viola glabella.; Cornus, Brachypodium sylvaticum; Acer macrophyllum, Corylus cornuta, Polistuchum munitum; PSME Dominant lichens: Plagla, Parsul, Hypina, shrubby Usnea, Hypphy w very large diversity of other genera & species. We all were finding new spp up to the last minute of the survey time.
