Annotated by B. McCune. Remarks: ID certainty: certain. This specimen conforms well with Worley 10422 (UBC 4893), which has been examined by both [illegible] and Degelius and determined as L. radiatum, notwithstanding its small size (to 1mm [illegible])

Montana: Granite County: 1 km northeast of Bearmouth, slopes above Clark Fork River, just west of massive limestone cliffs. Elev. 4000 ft.

Bluebunch wheatgrass (Agropyron spicatum) grasslands, calcareous soil, with scattered juniper (Juniperus) and ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa). Black fruticose.¶Lobes ~0.45 mm thick.¶Photobiont nostoc but in very short chains.¶Cortex not differentiated but surfaces w/violet-blue tinge.¶Photobiont cells to ca. 7.5? long (long axis)
