Old growth forest and riparian zone w/in boundary of Middle Santiam Wilderness w/ many hwd in understory. Thick moss sleeves on ACMA & understory TSHE. OG stand w/ a few giant PSME, all doms/codoms > 21" dbh. Understory sparse around plot center, much d & d. Slope 20%. Aspect 340°. Abundance code: 1; Cladonia 2011. Squamules; Lichen biomass high, esp: Lobore/pul, Sphven/tuc, many other cyanolichens thruout. Pserain found on plot. Collected Hypoce off plot about 100 yards E of plot on river side of road. Spot Tests: UV-, P+O, K+O.
