Washington: Mason County: Olympic National Forest, Hoodsport Ranger District. Purposive Survey: WA-024. Four Streams. Go north on Road 119 from Hoodsport 9 miles then left on the 24 Road and 5 more miles, then go left across a bridge. Drive 2.4 miles, through a gate, then 5.2 miles to road end. Walk north about 1 mile on remains of old road. RP is at double-stream crossing, about 40 feet west of road, on north side of 2nd creek. Location Notes: Approximately 900 feet north-northwest (about 340 degrees) from RP (estimated on map). Non-monumented location. Elev. 3350 ft.

Large trees, well-developed understory, and somewhat dense shrub layer (in places) cover a mostly homogenous slope, but steeper slopes also occur. Fully shaded slope. Aspect: 145 degrees, slope: 45%. Associated species: Tsuga heterophylla, Pseudotsuga menziesii, Abies amabilis, Thuja plicata, Alnus rubra, Vaccinium parvifolium, Polystichum munitum, Acer circinatum, Cocculus carolinus, Gonolobus obliquus. Substrate: base of conifer snag. Substrate: lignicolous.
