Shrubby treed shore of Beaver Creek, at margin of cleared parking space in back of building; growing with Prunus virginiana, Crataegus douglasii , Humulus lupulus. Cluster of about seven trees 4-9 m tall; bark with raised snaky pattern of somewhat corky strips over a lighter smooth background; leaves scabrous on upper surface; winter bud scales with reddish hairs at tip; vigourous trees with long leafy shoots; not planted here.
