Shores of small ponds, stranded by dropping water levels; full sun, with Typha angustifolia, Juncus balticus, Distichlis, Eleocharis macrostachya. Rhizomatous, leaves 10 millimeters wide, spikes 20 millimeters wide with 5 millimeter gap; common. [Attached fragment packet labeled 26825C.] Phenology: Fertile.
