Soil pile on old vacant lot, with Borago officinalis, Echinochloa crus-galli. Annual; plants septate-hairy with some glands; leaves to 11 x 10 cm, coarsely toothed; flowers small, to 1 cm long, bell-shaped, pale yellow with 5 dark purplish spots; fruit with inflated papery calyx, to 3 cm, sharply angled, green, turning light tan when dry and mature, berry turning orange, sweet.
