Canyon of small stream near waterfalls. Slopes ca. 45-60 degrees mostly, occurring less or more sheer, facing +- E/NE to +- S (then relatively protected and with much spray from waterfall) to SW; grassy, with much Allium cernum, and some bare rock, also with Saxifraga integrifolia. Local, here and there in areas dripping or +- constantly though not always heavily sprayed or both. Common, where present; usually near or on rock; in bud. Phenology: Vegetative.
