Oregon: Malheur County: Snake River between Homedale, Idaho and Nysaa, Oregon. Elev. 2300 ft.
Riparian on river, salt desert shrub adjacent; Typha latifolia, Salix amygdaloides, Rhus trilobata. Scattered small trees, saplings, and seedlings present. 12" x 40'. Abundance (1-5): 1. Along this reach of the Snake River, essentially from Marsing to Nyssa, the riparian fringe is narrow and contains few large trees, or groves of large trees. The dominants are Salix amygdaloides, Elaeagnus angustifolia, and Tamarix ramosissima. Native shrubs include Rosa woodsii, Ribes aureum, and Rhus trilobata. Scattered escapes, primarily of seedling and sapling size, include: Ulmus pumila arborea, Acer negundo violaceum, Acer saccharinum, and Fraxinus pennsylvanica. Phenology: Uncertain.
