Oregon: Josephine County: Siskiyou Mountains, dirt road heading east, up to ridgetop, from Onion Mountain Rd (Hwy 25), ca. 1 mile north of junction of NFD 243 (Swede Basin Rd), NFD 2524 (Spalding Mill Rd), and Hwy 25. Elev. 4050 ft.

Flat, formerly graded area on northwest-facing slope, in decaying bark mulch over dry, gravelly soil. Abies concolor, Calocedrus decurrens, and Pseudotsuga menziesii forest. Associated with Arctostaphylos nevadensis, A. patula, Berberis aquifolium, Ceanothus cordulatus, Eriogonum nudum, and Rubus leucodermis. Locally common, low-growing perennial, not woody above base, spreading rhizomatously. Stems +/- erect, up to 2 in. tall, and hispid. Leaves hispid, linear, flat in cross-section, and with acute apical hair. Corolla pale yellow, 2 mm wide, +/- glabrous with short fine ciliate hairs along corolla lobe margins. Male plant with conspicuous anthers, minute pistils, and glabrous ovaries. Phenology: Flowers.
