Clayey silt of basaltic origin, 15% SLOPE, 275° aspect. Associated with Artemisia tridentata ssp. tridentata and Bromus tectorum. 21 individual shrubs restricted to a 10 ft. X 35 ft. area on BLM land. All plants are heavily browsed. No seedlings present. Largest plant has a stem diameter of 8 cm. All plants were in fruit. I could not find any flowers. Pomes bitter tasting. Shrubs 80 cm tall. Phenology: Fruits.
