October fruit bright yellow-red, L>W, 14 x 13 mm wide; deciduous calyx; buds with fading pink blush, flowers white 39-45 mm diameter; petals 21-25 x 12-13 mm wide; pedicels 23-25 mm; lobing on a few leaves; 2 m tall adventive trees, in deep shade of Populus balsamifera, with Cornus sericea, Rosa woodsii, Rhus glabra. Phenology: Flowers.
