Sunny damp thickets, near East Fork of Willow Creek. With Fraxinus latifolia, Crataegus suksdorfii, C. monogyna, Rosamultiflora, Pyrus communis, Amelanchier alnifolia. Adventive shrubs1-2 meters tall; fruit bright red, shiny, hair, obovoid-globose, base slightly cuneate, top flat, fruit 4.9-7.6 x 5.5-8.4 millimeters wide; 2-5 fruits per inflorescence; 3-4 seed per fruit; veins impressed; leaves greenish tomentose below.
