Rocky slope and dry meadowland beneath scattered Douglas fir, white bark pine, and sub-alpine fir, with Castilleja, Berberis repens, Zygadenus venosus. Plts small; sts fistulose, roots small, thickened, sts readily detaching; lvs mostly basal; infl only slightly glandular (generally only on the sepals); calyx deep blue, the spur green below, 15 mm long; lower petals not notched, the upper with fine, dark blue guides against white. Folicles glabrous. Phenology: Flowers.
