On wet mossy basalt in a rocky, seasonally moist grass/shrubland with open Quercus garryana, Ribes aureum and Philadelphus lewisii. Associates include Lithophragma parviflora, Agropyron spicatum, Balsamorhiza careyana, Draba verna, Saxifraga integrifolia, Lomatium grayi, Lomatium sp. Slope vertical; aspect, east. Phenology: Flowers.
