In permanent seep on steep (60%), north-facing basalt outcrop; associated with Pinguicula macroceras, Arnica amplexicaulis, Stenanthium occidentale, Platanthera stricta, Carex macrochaeta, Erythronium revolutum, Parnassia palustris var. neogaea; vegetation on margins of seep composed of Oplopanax horridus, Filipendula occidentalis, Cladothamnus pyroliflorus, Aruncus dioicus, Rubus spectabilis, Abies amabilis, Thuja plicata; seep surrounded by second growth plantation of Pseudotsuga menziesii. Site is approximately 1 acre with approximately 100 plants scattered over site in clumps of 6-10 plants. Site first discovered by James Powell of South Bend, Washington.
