Edge of pavement adjacent to occasionally mown field; mesic soil, with Plantago major, Gnaphalum uliginosum, Trifolium repens. Stems erect, with ascending branches, dull green in life; main stem leaves mostly shed, elliptic to oblanceolate; inflorescence leaves appressed, slightly longer than the flowers; pedicels ca 1-2 mm; tepals with pink margins; achenes red-brown, surfaces striate with rows of papillae; patch of ca 10 plants, weedy.
