Estuary with gravel road on fill; dominants are Carex lyngbyei, Deschampsia cespitosa, and Potentilla pacifica. Rhizomatous, common at low end of salt marsh; forming large clones. Specimen cited in: Saarela JM (2012) Taxonomic synopsis of invasive and native Spartina (Poaceae: Chloridoideae) in the Pacific Northwest (British Columbia, Washington and Oregon), including the first report of Spartina x townsendii for British Columbia, Canada.
