Broad, sandy beach grading into vegetated sand above high tide line, with Ammophila breviligulata, Leymus mollis, Juncus breweri, Schoenoplectus pungens, Distichlis spicata, Agrostis, and Cakile edentula. Ligules 1-2 mm, truncate; plants rhizomatous, forming large stands along upper beach. Phenology: Flowers.
