Sandy, gravelly soil in bottom of dry wash. With Oxytropis besseyi salmonensis, Lesquerella alpina, Gilia congresta var. palmifrons, Hymenopappus filifolius idahoensis, and Oryzopsis hymenoides. Fairly common. Highly glaucous per with branched caudex; fls medium blue, ca 21 mm long; anthers ca 1.1 mm, glab except for very vine setae along suture; staminode bearded; palate essentially glab (0-4 hairs). Phenology: Flowers.
