Series of peatland meadow and pools at base of Chilcoot Peak surrounded by forest dominated by Abies lasiocarpa w/ few Picea engelmanii and Pinus contorta. Peatland meadows w/ deep Sphagnum mats dominated by Carex aquatilis, C. rostrata, Pediculairs groenlandica. Scattered raised hummocks w/ stunted A. lasiocarpa, Carex spp., and Ledum glandulosum. Small pools surrounded by dense growth of Carex aquatilis and C. rostrata and Nuphar polysepalum in shallow to ca. 1 m of water. Sphagnum hummocks on wet substrate dominated by Carex aquatilis, P. groenlanica, Elocharis pauciflora, Aster foliaceus, and Spiranthes romanzoffiana. Few to common in areas, particularly on Sphagnum hummocks on wet substrate. Corolla yellow with red specks in throat. Phenology: Flowers.
