Cypripedium yatabeanum Makino
Annotated by Charles J. Sheviak, 1 Jan 2002. Remarks: Plants in this area are largely various introgressants of Cypripedium guttatum Sw. and C. yatabeanum Makino, i.e. C. xalaskanum P.M. Brown, yet some essentially pure parentals seem to persist. This specimen is not adequate for precise determination, but suggests Cypripedium yatabeanum; Former nature_of_id: legacy.

Side of bluff, growing to height of 30 cm, common on this hillside but not seen outside of village, flowers blotched with brownish green spots, growing with grasses, Rhododendron camtschaticum, Trisetum spicatum, and Malaxis monophylla.
